My name is Andy Gray. I’m married with three young daughters, and we live on the western edge of Tokyo, Japan. My wife and I run a not-for-profit program called Global Adventure. I’m a photographer when I have the time.
We’re all travelers in life learning as we go. I hope what I write will help as you make connections and discoveries on your way and sometimes give you a laugh as well. Maybe you can do the same for me in the comments. I’ll ask questions, and I’ll appreciate your responses.
I generally avoid religion and pretense, but I love God and follow Jesus. I do have my opinions and beliefs, but I’m not writing this blog to convince you of something or offer simple answers. Life is a journey not a proposition, so truth emerges as we go not by writing about it.

Hey Andy,
My name’s Daniel, I’m 17 and I live in Arizona. I’ve been fascinated with Japan for many years now, and hope to move to Tokyo soon. I stumbled upon some of your photography about half an hour ago. Those are some amazing pictures of Japan. I didn’t realize until I saw the little girl on the picture you titled “flower girl” that you’re a follower of Christ. I thought it was cool the way you combined that verse from Matthew with the picture, they fit really well. My family and I are missionaires (Christian), and have lived all over the world (lived in Europe for 11 years). Anyway, great job with the pictures, keep it up, man!
